Fifteen years ago we needed to make some dimensional material for the restoration work of Baker City, Oregon. After looking into purchasing a
wire saw, we decided to try building our own. We wanted a saw that was
portable and would run off the grid, only requiring water. We came
up with a saw that is an engine-driven, hydraulic/electric machine very
similar in operation to modern construction equipment.
The original
machine is still working today, and we have improved the design to
include auto feed, tensioning and shut off - all key to diamond wire
sawing. We also built a stationary saw of similar design for our own use that has a three-phase electric motor in place of the diesel engine
power unit.
We can build a customized a saw for your needs. Please contact us for pricing. More saw pictures are in our Wire Saw Photo Gallery.
